You can be an excellent manager with a certain style of leadership, but it’s also possible to find great executives with completely opposite styles. Each executive has their own personality and way of being. The key is to find the path to success.

To achieve success, an organization requires experienced directors and executives who bring great knowledge in the company’s area of activity and who are also excited about the project and capable of infecting others with their enthusiasm, directing them towards the common goal.

Functions and managerial roles  

A role is not the same as a function, and neither should managerial roles and the functions of senior executives in a company be understood in the same way. In particular, the latter:

  • Have a broader scope than managerial roles.
  • Prioritize the urgent.
  • Generally cannot be planned.
  • Are necessary for organizing and controlling the work of employees, from task management and distribution.
  • Aim at the cohesion of the company, through the anointment of its different parts.
  • Also pursue the integration of the organization with its environment.

And so where do managerial roles fit in? Their role is crucial. In fact, it is managerial roles that determine how the work described in previous lines will unfold. To do this, the manager must:

  • Contribute to improving the organization’s performance.
  • Strive to improve individually as well, achieving a necessary inner balance.
  • Use available communication tools in service of knowledge.
  • Convey their enthusiasm and involvement in the company’s mission and vision.

If managerial roles are managed correctly, the company’s objectives will be achieved thanks to the joint effort and responsibility of all. In this process, the company culture and the values it promotes play a key role in achieving the involvement and engagement of all organization members. The personal commitment of each individual will culminate in the achievement of general goals. The invisible hand of the manager is the one that will guide towards the achievement of specific objectives that make it possible.

It is the manager who guides the employees of the company and who coordinates tasks, functions, and organizes the overall functioning of the company.
