Objectives of a Human Workforce Plan

Generally, objectives can be divided into three levels: explicit, implicit, and long-term.

Explicit objectives are well-specified and include:

  1. Finding the most qualified candidates capable of performing essential tasks in the company.
  2. Retaining the most qualified employees.
  3. Motivating employees to work better and engage with the company.
  4. Reinforcing employees’ attitudes to help them evolve within the company.

Implicit objectives are those inherent to the philosophy of each company, and three are related to the Human Workforce Plan:

  1. Productivity: Effective human resources management should increase employee productivity.
  2. Quality of life: Improving employees’ quality of life within the company leads to greater satisfaction and contribution. Fulfilling their professional aspirations is crucial for this.
  3. Compliance with regulations: Undoubtedly, this is also a very important aspect.

Lastly, long-term business objectives show the strategic scope of the Human Resources Plan. These objectives refer to improvements in the effectiveness and capacity of the company, such as productivity, profit, competitiveness, and performance.

The true importance of a company’s human resources lies in their ability to respond positively and willingly to set objectives and fulfill assigned tasks.

Achieving these objectives generally yields positive results for the company.
